Two years before i was born was the year we lost him. But he is immortal. His pitch black ink will never fade, his drawings will remain on paper, on walls, in newspapers and in our minds.

There are many ways to fight. Many physically weak people thought they couldn’t fight, he wasn’t one of them. Sometimes those who fight without a sword have much more effect than those who do, not only on those they fight against, but on the people they fight with…and for.

Twenty two years ago Naji Al Ali was killed, but the fight lives on.

About Handala he said:

Handala was born ten years old, and he will always be ten years old. At that age, I left my homeland, and when he returns, Handala will still be ten, and then he will start growing up. The laws of nature do not apply to him. He is unique. Things will become normal again when the homeland returns.
